The Henson's honored for their efforts to promote
tourism in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico

Juarez, Mexico - Recently Dusty and Bonnie Henson, founders of El Paso Saddleblanket, were honored by Mayor Enrique Serrano (left) of Cuidad Juarez, Mexcio and Jacob Prado, the Consulate General of Mexico for their efforts to help promote the City of Juarez, Mexico.

The event was Mexican Independence Day (Grito) with 70,000 proud people in attendance. This beautiful ceremony is held all over Mexico simultaneously at Midnight (Mexico City time) on September 16th every year. There was food, drink, entertainments, patriotic speaches, presentations and fireworks.

Dusty said "It was the most impressive event that this old hillbilly has ever seen or attended. It was very moving, I was humbled. We got back to El Paso that morning at 3:00 am., WOW !!" He also said "You could feed the pride as Mexicans shed tears of joy."
