El Paso Saddleblanket 2003 Team Roping Series
2003 Summer Saddle Series We usually have about 100 teams (200 ropers) competeing. We do our team roping events April through October, usually the first Saturday of the month. It is a timed event where one roper on horseback ropes the head of the steer and his partner ropes the hind feet of the steer. The Way Out West Arena is located 9 miles south of Hillsboro, NM on the road to Lake Valley. The Arena is owned by Pat and Nancee (Nunn) Jones on the Historic Nunn Ranch. There is no admission charge. On the Arena we have a concession booth for Bar-B-Q and Cowboy Tack. This is a very colorful event and Everyone is invited !! ....Come Join The Fun!!!
